Our family hotel is located in Heinävesi, amidst the beautiful scenery of Eastern Finland. The best known sights in the area are the monastery of Valamo and the convent of Lintula. Valamo and Lintula are the only Orthodox monastery and convent in Finland.

In the summer, passenger steamers head for Kuopio and Savonlinna, passing through the historical locks of the Heinävesi water route. Other points of interest include the Kermansavi ceramics factory, which is a popular venue for shopping. Fishermen will be pleased with the rapids of Kerma and Karvio, as their stock of fish is plentiful.

Heinävesi is easy to get to from anywhere in Finland. The closest cities are Varkaus, 50 km, Kuopio, 110 km, Savonlinna, 87 km, and Joensuu, 78 km.
